Summer Woodland Gathering 12th July

Saturday 12th July 10.30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Join me for a day of exploring the woodland that I manage, Afallwyn. There will be foraging, swimming if you'd like, picking plants in the garden, permaculture, crafting and more.

Here is a draft schedule for the day:

10.30 - 11.30

Introduction to the land and to each other

Gathering herbs for herbal tea to have with homemade biscuits or cake

Tour of the orchards, vegetable and forest gardens

11.30 - 1

Walk through the ancient woodland and down to the river which you are invited to swim in if you would like

 1 - 2 lunch

I will serve you a vegan-friendly lunch of soup, bread and salads, all with produce grown or foraged from the land

You will also have some time to yourself to wander

Plant and tree magic: Introduction to using water, trees, plants and the earth for magic and healing

You will be given pouches, bags and bottles and you can gather from the land for the following:

Gathering for teas

Gathering for magical powders and incense making

Gathering from the nine sacred trees to make powders for oils or for burning

Herbal amulet making

And more...

We close the day with me inviting you to tie a red silk ribbon to a very special hawthorn tree and offering your prayers and wishes to the land

Vegan/vegetarian lunch and all materials provided. Can collect you from Builth Wells Train station. 

Please note that there is a steep walk down to the river in the woodland which may not be accessible for those with mobility issues. The woodland can be found at this link.
